My Foray into Blogging

I feel compelled to write somewhat of an introduction to the NourishED Blog before I officially write a post. While I don’t think it is customary to write a blog post about blogging, I feel it is only fair to my readers to make the following disclosure at the outset. So here goes…

I have never written a blog post before and have no f***en idea what I am actually doing (I am pretty sure the use of profanity is not advised when writing a blog, so I will make every attempt going forward to keep my inner trucker girl quiet).

Given my lack of knowledge on the subject of blogging, I figured I would do a little Google search and see what I find. Sure enough there are websites and blogs (go figure!) devoted to instructing you on how to write the perfect blog. The first problem with this is that I don’t believe there is no such thing as a perfect blog or perfect anything for matter (more to come on my views of perfectionism). And the second problem with this is who the hell has the time to do a literature review on the art of blogging. 

So given that I don’t know much about blogging and don’t have the time to learn in advance, we are going to learn together. My hope for this blog is that I can share my thoughts, feelings, and beliefs about everything related to nutrition. I have to let you know that my expertise and experience treating individuals struggling with eating disorders has profoundly shaped my view of nutrition, but in the best way possible. I look forward to getting to share it with you.
